_Paracheilinus carpenteri_ is a Wrasse from the Western Pacific. It regularly makes its way into the aquarium trade, under the name "**Carpenter's Flasher Wrasse**". One of the smaller members of the wrasse family, it grows to a size of 8 cm in length. In the tank It is generally considered to be one of the easier wrasses to keep in captivity, adapting quickly to a fairly indiscriminate carnivorous diet: it is considered "reef-safe" in the home aquarium as it does not attack or harass invertebrates or nibble at coral polyps. The Carpenter's Flasher Wrasse is a peaceful non-aggressive fish (except for males of the same species) that may suffer from harassment by more aggressive tankmates. Flashing
